It sounds like there is a short to ground somewhere. I would guess the short is on the trailer, especially if this is a new problem. The OL code indicates an overload and the SH code indicates a short on the electric brake output wire.

The first step is to inspect the trailer wiring as much as possible between the connector on the trailer and the brake assemblies. Look for any pinched, frayed or damaged sections of wire that could be touching the frame. Since the brakes were recently replaced, check the wiring at the brake assemblies. Wires can sometimes be pinched between the brake backing plates and the mounting flanges. Also, make sure they are grounded properly. I have attached a help article that explains how to test the brake magnets. Even though they are new, it would be a good idea to test them.

I would also inspect the wiring on your truck. Make sure the brake output circuit is not damaged at the trailer connector and at the brake controller. Again, check for pinched, frayed or even bite marks on the wires. We have had a few situations where mice and other animals have found these wires to be a tasty treat. If the short is on the truck, you can usually recreate the SH code by pushing the manual override on the brake controller without a trailer connected.
