Will Blue Ox Patriot Work With 2027 Ford Maverick Hybrid

Updated 09/05/2026 | Published 08/24/2026

Question:

Hi guys, I have the rest of my flat towing setup ready for my 2027 Ford Maverick Hybrid and just need a portable braking system. Will the Blue Ox Patriot work with the hybrid? I'm looking for something reliable that I can easily move in and out when we're traveling.

Hey Kevin! Yes, the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System # BLU37TR will work with your 2027 Ford Maverick Hybrid. This is an incredibly popular and reliable choice for a portable system. The Patriot is easy to remove when you're done towing, which is exactly what you're looking for.

Where are you headed next once you finish setting up your Maverick?

Hey thanks! We're headed down to Florida this fall. This is our first time taking the Maverick along behind the motorhome so I'm trying to make sure everything is squared away before we leave.

@KevinM you're welcome! Florida will be a good first trip with the Maverick. Once you get everything installed the Patriot will make the braking side of the setup pretty simple each time you travel. If you need anything else before you leave don't hesitate to reach out. Have a great trip and be safe out there!

Can I move the Patriot between two different vehicles or does it have to be set up specifically for one? We also have a Jeep that we occasionally tow behind our motorhome.

@BrianF you can move the # BLU37TR between vehicles, which is one of the nice things about a portable system like the Patriot. You'll need to run through the setup and positioning for whichever vehicle you're towing, but you aren't locked into using it with just one vehicle.
