Hey there!

I think I can point you in the right direction! The 17 mm marking you're seeing is not the brake size. On the UFP DB-35 setup, that marking refers to the minimum allowable rotor thickness, so you do not need to look for a special "17 mm brake kit."

Since your 2009 Karavan boat trailer has 6-lug UFP DB-35 brakes, it appears you may have the heavier DB-35 setup rather than the more common 3,500 lb version. These 6-lug DB-35 assemblies commonly used a 25580 inner bearing and LM67048 outer bearing, which would put you into the 5,200 lb axle range.

If those are the bearings you have, you can replace the old UFP brakes with 2 of the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR526DKG. Each kit includes the hub/rotors, calipers, and mounting brackets for 2 wheels, so two kits would take care of all 4 brakes on your tandem-axle trailer. This kit uses a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern and also has corrosion-resistant coatings that are a great choice for a boat trailer.

Before you order, though, I would definitely want to verify the bearings because UFP used the DB-35 designation on more than one axle capacity. Could you pull one hub and let me know the numbers stamped on the inner and outer bearings? I'm expecting # 25580 inner and # LM67048 outer, but once we confirm those I can make sure you get the correct complete setup.
