Recommended 7-Way Powered Electric Trailer Jack w/a Tongue Weight Scale

Hey Stacy! To add an electric trailer jack that's powered off of the tow vehicles 7-Way, I recommend our etrailer item # e28KV for a 3,500 lbs capacity or item # e83KV with a 5,000 lbs capacity. These jacks fit a standard a-frame bolt pattern and will connect directly to your tow vehicle's 7-way connector for power.

These jacks include our brand new tongue weight scale that can be used when you're loading up your trailer. It is accurate within 50 lbs and is great for adjusting how your trailer's loaded up. It comes with it's own carrying case and we do recommend removing the scale and replacing it with the included drop leg when you're traveling.

Our etrailer electric jacks item # e28KV for a 3,500 lbs capacity or item # e83KV with a 5,000 lbs capacity offer a 18" lift plus a drop leg that extends up to an additional 9-3/4". The very top of the head of these jacks is 20" above the mounting point on your trailer's tongue. The jacks can easily be rotated to accommodate clearance for a tailgate or rear hatch.

I also recommend adding the SnapPad Jack Stand Pad item # SN47FR. This is a 1-3/4" tall rubber jack pad that permanently attaches to the bottom of the jack foot. The SnapPad is going to do a great job of protecting the jack foot and providing a stabile base on different types of ground.

Thank you. It's a Grand Design Transcend Xplor so I'll most likely go with your 5,000 lbs option so I don't have to worry about it working too hard. As far as where we camp we go all over so I do like the idea of the jack pad to keep the foot from being damaged. Thanks again for this great right up and all the pictures.
