Question:
Are the connectors on these controllers all the same. as far as connecting to the controller side of the cable? I have a 2004 dodge 1500 and would like to hook this controller to the electric brake controller.

Draw-Tite, Prodigy and Tekonsha brake controller all share the same style of connector. If thats what you have installed in your 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 then you would be able to swap in the Draw-Tite Activator IV Trailer Brake Controller # 5504. If you have one of the mentioned controllers you would have used a # 3020-P harness which is the recommended harness for your vehicle.
If you currently have a different brake controller that has a different style of connector you could easily cut the connector off and hardwire the # 5504 to your brake controller wires. From the # 5504 white is ground, black is 12 volt power, red is stoplight switch, and blue is brake output.
I attached a review video for this controller plus an FAQ on brake controllers for you to check out.
