Question:
I purchased K23-478-479 Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes - 10 4.4k brake assemblies last year. I need replacement shoes, but I cant find any for the 4.4k assemblies. I see it for heavier and lighter assemblies. What brake shoes do I need? I thought it would be listed under Replacement Parts with the listing, but shoes are not listed. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out Tom. The replacement shoes for # K23-478-479 are actually listed under the individual left and right hand brake assemblies. For replacement shoes on the right hand assembly you will # K71-699-00 and for the left hand assembly # K71-698-00. Each of these part numbers will include the replacement shoes for one brake assembly so if you have a tandem axle trailer and are replacing the shoes on all of your brakes, you would want two of each.
Have any fun trips planned this summer after your brake maintenance?

I had the same problem with finding the correct brake assembly. The computer said it was the same bolt holes as the 3500 axle. I tried three places including eTrailer.com and nobody could figure it out. Abigail at etrailer.com took the time to figure it out and took back out incorrect brake shoes and replaced with the correct series. She also changed the computer to allow others to find the correct brake shoes. I am in debt to etrailer as they found the right brakes and spent time with me to fix the problem.

I purchased a set for back ups in the event that I had another issue on the road. I never needed to used them so I really can’t provide any real world advice.
