What Timken Bearing Kit Fits My 2024 GD Imagine 2600 with axle# LC152 - SBSA -86.5-68.5- NOSP-OS -L?

Question:

I received a Timkin bearing kit for my GD Imagine 2600 2024—L68149-L68111 x2, L44610-L44649x2, seal 473336x1. Order 125057102. I was told this would fit. These are for 3500lb axles. I believe GD changed to 4400lb axles in the later years of this model. Is this the proper kit for my axles? The label on my axle states in part: “Item V000845594…Cust Part 120410…Serial S011064962… LC152 - SBSA -86.5-68.5- NOSP-OS -L-65517-RED -ABS-7225-30SPT-CAP”. Can you verify that the kit you sent is the proper one? Thanks.

Hi Shan,

It is common for the 3.5K and 4.4K Lippert axles to use the same bearings and seals, so often the same kit is suggested for both. However, the axle serial number that you included, "LC152 - SBSA -86.5-68.5- NOSP-OS -L-65517-RED -ABS-7225-30SPT-CAP” breaks down to a Lippert 5.2K axle based off of the LC152 so the TMK52VR wouldn't work for 5.2K axles.

Your axles should have the EZ-Lube spindles on them, so instead you'll need the Timken Bearing Kit LM67048/25580 Bearings, LM67010/25520 Races, 413470 Seal part # TMK22VR. The TMK22VR kit has the tang washer that you'll need for the EZ-lube spindle. There are two different seals that could be used for this hub, so you can always purchase this kit and buy the other seal variation just in case. Which is the Timken Grease and Oil Seal with 2.250" inner diameter part # TMK98ZR.

If you can tell me the number that is pressed into the cast iron on your hubs, I can use that to confirm that these are the proper bearings you need.
