Hey Glen, the easiest system to set up and use that is similar to the now discontinued Brake Buddy Vantage is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. Even if the Brake Buddy was still available this would be what I would have recommended for you because of how well it works and how reliable it is.

Our Class A tows our new Yukon XL and we use the Blue Ox Patriot. I love how easy it is to setup and remove when we need to use the vehicle. The receiver for the motorhome cab really just connects itself and handles everything for you.

Installed on 21 RAM 1500 behind THOR FE29 CLASS C. WORKS GREAT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Added benefit: can be used on another vehicle.

The patriot braking system is easy to put in the toad. The internal monitor in my rig shows me it’s working ok. The most difficult part is the emergency break away switch installation and power from the rig for the patriot controlling brake and signal lights on the toad.

We love ours. I pull a jeep wrangler with a mercedes sprinter van. Installation prior to each tow is very easy. The brake away goes through my jeeps hood latch. I carry a charger for the jeep battery since I can only get 2 days before the brake system runs my battery down. I don't have any system to charge the jeep or run the turn signals. I use the wire less turn signals system which works very well
