Can the back of the box be mounted flush against trailer and still allow the lid to open up to a full upright position? no space between box and trailer

The hinge of the DeeZee Specialty Series Trailer Tongue Toolbox part # DZ91717P is located on the back edge of the toolbox so you would not be able to mount this box flush to the front of your trailer.
You will need to mount the box a few inches in front of the front wall of your trailer. Your best bet would be to set the box on the trailer frame and then open the lid and see how much clearance you would need and then mount the box where needed.
