Question:
I have a 20,000 lb curt 5th wheel hitch in a 2017 gmc sierra. I just purchased a 2026 sierra. I understand the mounting holes are different. Can I just buy the lower part or do I have to purchase a whole new hitch

Good news, you don't have to buy a whole new hitch. If your current hitch is the Curt A20, Part # C16064, you can keep the hitch head and simply swap the legs. For your new 2026 GMC Sierra with the factory puck system, you'll need the Curt OEM 5th Wheel Hitch Legs, Part # CU53FR. That lets you reuse the hitch you already have while making it compatible with the newer truck's mounting points.
Before ordering, I'd just want to confirm the part number on your current Curt hitch to make sure it's the A20 and not a different Curt model.
Once we verify that, you'll be all set. Congratulations on the new Sierra, by the way! What are you going to be towing with it?
