Question:
We sometimes wake up to temperatures in the low 20s camping in the mountains. Will the Fogatti heat pump still work, or will I need to use the furnace?
asked by: Dennis C
Expert Reply:
Hey Dennis! I would use the furnace in those conditions. The Fogatti heat pump is designed to operate with outdoor temperatures down to 28°F, so low 20s temps are outside its listed range. Anything below that and you're relying on the furnace for heat. You can choose from the following available based on color:
-Fogatti InstaCool RV AC w/ Heat Pump - 18K Btu - Ducted/Non-Ducted - White # FG85VR
-Fogatti InstaCool RV AC w/ Heat Pump - 18K Btu - Ducted/Non-Ducted - Black # FG72VR
The heat pump will be great for cool spring and fall weather, but it isn't intended to replace the furnace during real winter conditions.
Where do you normally camp in the mountains?
