Is it possible to attach this hitch from the spare tire well inside the trunk versus working under the car? Thanks.

The only way to install the Curt Hitch part # 13390 is to attach it to the rear frame rails of your 2010 Subaru Outback Wagon. See the picture I attached as well as the install video.
