Best Levelers for a Tacoma with a Slide-In Camper

Question:
Hi, I’ve got a Tacoma with a slide-in camper. Will be camping on pretty varied terrain - not just camp sites. Just wanted to know which of your leveling block sets might be most appropriate for my use. Thanks!

Hi Christian, that sounds like a fun setup. If I were heading out with a Tacoma and a slide-in camper, the Andersen Camper Leveler Kit, Part # AN68VR, is what I'd throw in the truck. I like it because there's no stacking blocks or trying to guess how many you need. You just drive up onto the leveler until the truck is where you want it, slide the chock in behind the tire, and you're set. It makes leveling quick, especially when you're camping by yourself or pulling into a spot after a long day on the road.
I also think they're a better fit than traditional leveling blocks for the kind of camping you're describing. Since they adjust anywhere from 1/2 inch to 4 inches, you can fine tune the height instead of being stuck with preset positions. They're rated for up to 30,000 pounds, work with tires up to 32 inches in diameter, and everything packs into the included storage bag, so they don't take up much room when you're not using them.
What terrain do you love most rocky forest roads, sand, or muddy trails?

I find that the ease of just setting them down and driving up on them their best feature. I use them on our 38 ft 5th wheel with no issues. Once you get the height you need, you just put the checks in and you're all set. They should work well for your setup.

We use these to level our off-road trailer. Tandem axle, they work well and are holding up. Our trailer weighs around 9300 pounds loaded for a trip. Would purchase again.
