Question:
I need a 3,500 lb axle that is 89 inches long. not sure where the spring seats need to be but I like this option as it has them separate and can be welded on in correct location, will this axle work for me?

Hey David, yes the Dexter 3,500 lb trailer axle part # DX57FT that you referenced is exactly what you are looking for. This is the correct hub face to hub face dimension you need and since the spring seats are separate you can just place them on the axle where they need to be and this will easily install to your trailer. I would measure distance between the frame centers where this will need to attach and then match that dimension for where you place the spring seats.
