Question:

Hi. I own a 2023 Grand design 270BN 5th wheel trailer. I am looking for a price quote on replacing all 4 axel hubs / brakes has antilock with 4,400lb axels. Can you also quote an upgrade to 5k axels, springs, package with a new CRE 3,000 system. Currently have 16k miles on trailer and heading to Alaska from MA next fall and thinking an upgrade/replacement to all may be wise. Thank you. David

Hey David, I did some checking and your 2023 Grand Design 270BN has Curt 4,400 lb axles so for replacement ABS parts you would need the part # LC34RP for the hub/drums and the part # LC79MP for the brake assemblies. Hi Jameson. Thanks for you for your response. I have Curt 4400lb axels item#2021128449, serial number S010399481 mfg date 05/22/23. These are the identifying numbers on the label. CURT-SBSA-86.5-68.5-NOSP-OS-L-C65517-ABS-7225-BRONZE-30PT. Like I had said in my original post, does it may make more sense to upgrade to 5k axels for parts availability and future Alaska travels. Can you please provide a quote for hubs and brakes /hubs for the existing axels and a complete 5k axel package upgrade. Thank you. David

@DavidS so we don't have a 5,200 axle that would work for you since we don't have any that match the dimensions you are in need of. You need an axle with a 86.5 inch hub face to hub face dimension and 68.5 inches between the spring seats. A trailer shop local to you would be able to order in what you need with that info. So the correct ABS replacement brake parts would be the part # LC79MP for the brake assemblies and then for the hub drum part # LC34RP and you'd be set for the 4.400 lb ABS Curt axle that you have now. This would be what I would do if I were you.
