Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Harness for 2015 Honda Odyssey Not Working

Question:

I have the same problem. Passenger light is only putting out 4 volts. What module needs to be replaced. Do I need a new wiring harness? 2015 Honda Odyssey.

Hey Ray, so you did a good job troubleshooting your trailer wiring harness and it is bad unfortunately. You would need to replace the entire kit with a new one like with the Curt # C56378. This happening is pretty common and it's actually a designed feature. In the event your trailer has a short in the trailer wiring the converter box will basically "sacrifice" itself to prevent the short from getting to your vehicle wiring which can easily be damaged. What kind of trailer are you towing?
