Question:
I have a 2010 Nissan Xterra X or S package. I am installing a Dobinsons 2.5inch suspension lift. Will part AL59562 provide the added support that is intended on a stock Xterra, if I have the 2.5inch lift?

Hi Tom,
Since the Dobinsons 2.5" suspension lift kit completely replaces the stock suspension and raises the leaf springs, you'll need to do some measurements to make sure the AirLift Helper Springs kit part # AL59562 would fit properly. The distance between the axle and frame will be increased and the # Al59562 was designed around the stock suspension. I'd recommend measuring the distance from the bottom of the frame rail to the top of the axle at normal ride height and comparing it to Air Lift's installation height specifications. If the gap exceeds the kit's designed range, spacer brackets may be required. Unfortunately, Air Lift doesn't currently list a spacer kit specifically for the Xterra Ride Control system. If you're concerned about rear end sag this kit is still a good solution, some measurements will need to be done to verify that it'll work with the suspension upgrade kit.
What are you planning on hauling/towing with you Nissan Xterra?

Thank you Claire, I'd be towing a 16' flatbed trailer with a 4 seat honda talon. The rear end sag is the problem I'm trying to solve. I'll measure the distance after I get the lift installed and see what will work. Thank you for responding. Regards, Tom Boelts
