Question:
I will be using my Rightline Gear Sport 2 carrier for the first time on a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan without a roof rack. Do the Rightline Gear car clips fit securely on this vehicle?

Expert Reply:
I spoke with my contact at Rightline and she said the Rightline car clips for the Sport 2 cargo bag will not work with the Dodge Grand Caravan minivan with a naked roof because of the minivan's sliding side door.
I do have a solution for you, however. I recommend the Rightline Cargo Hatch Saddlebag # RL100B90. The Rightline Saddlebag has a carrying capacity of up to 13 cubic feet and a weight capacity of 100 lbs and features a 1-year warranty. Since your vehicle has a naked roof you will also want Rightline car clips # RL100605. You just add the rubber-coated clips to the top 2 straps of your saddlebag to hook the carrier over your rear hatch door. The hatch will close easily over the hooks.
I have included installation instructions and a video review of the Rightline Gear Cargo Hatch Saddlebag for you to check out.
