Hey Brad,
For your 2022 Kia Sorento X-Line, there isn't a hitch rated for 5,000 lbs. Instead, you can use Blue Ox Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # BLU48HR. This is the highest rated hitch for your car, at 4,500 lbs., but I found online that the 2022 Sorento's max towing capacity is rated between 2,500 lbs. for the LX 2.5 trim and up to 3,500 lbs. for the X-Line SX Prestige 2.5T. You'll want to check your owner's manual to confirm your vehicle's maximum towing capacity.
If your Sorento has LED taillights (or is a plug-in hybrid), you will need to use Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # C99DR; if your vehicle has incandescent taillights, then you'll go with Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C63RV. This distinction is important to ensure that you have the right connections for the plug-and-play installation of the wiring harness. From there, you'll need our Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7. This will add the additional connections to convert your 4-way harness into a 7-way harness, allowing you to use a brake controller like Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness - Dash Knob - Proportional # RED52VR to control your trailer's electric brakes.
Because of the weight ratings and based on your trailer's GVWR, I'd recommend towing with a bigger vehicle if possible. If it's not possible, you'll want to either limit your cargo or carry it in the vehicle to ensure you're not putting unnecessary strain on the car. What kind of trailer are you towing? Is it possible to maybe move some of that weight to the vehicle, maybe using a roof rack?

Just the information I was needing. I knew you would have it and it is greatly appreciated. I am still pondering my options. You may be right that I need to address a larger tow vehicle. Maybe a f150 4wd. Thank again for your input Brad
