Hi, I’m looking to find a 2” hitch for a swing away bike rack that would work on a 2022 kia soul EV. Any suggestions?

Hey Cassidy!
For your 2022 Kia Soul EV, there is not a Class III 2" hitch that is confirmed to fit. Instead, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C67FR. This is currently the only hitch custom fit to your Kia Soul EV, but will only fit 1-1/4" bike racks. You would be able to use this rack with a hitch expander like Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Hitch - 6-1/2" Long # e43YR, but hitch expanders reduce your hitch's weight capacity by 50%, so that would take this hitch's tongue weight capacity from 200 lbs to 100 lbs. When factoring your tongue capacity, you also have to count the weight of your bike rack, so I don't think this would be a great fit for you. I think your best option for your vehicle may be to go with a roof-mounted or trunk-style bike rack like Saris Bones EX 2 Bike Rack - Adjustable Arms - Trunk Mount # SAR83FR or Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier - Roof Mount # Y02103.
What kind of bikes do you have? Do you know their weights? It is possible to change some racks so that they have a swing away shank, but not every rack has that capability. What brand and model rack do you have? I'm happy to look more into it for you.

I installed the 1 1/4. The 2 inch is too large for the Kia Soul. You could use the 1 1/4 to 2”” adaptor but only if your bikes and rack are 100 lbs or less. Just buy a rack for 1 1/4 hitch and then install that and the hitch.
