Question:

Hi, will the air lift 1000 kit work in a 2025 honda ridgeline? Is it just a matter of taking the correct inner rear spring measurements?

Hi Troy,

The Air Lift 1000 kit is not a fit for the 2025 Honda Ridgeline. I checked Air Lift's website as well and they also don't list any fits for air bags for your vehicle. Because the Honda Ridgeline has an independent rear suspension with coil springs, the shape and space inside the springs is likely not enough for one of the Air Lift 1000 air springs to fit without compromising the springs durability or suspension travel. The air bag kits are vehicle specific because air springs must fit the spring precisely throughout the suspension's range of motion. The Honda Ridgeline is also only rated for 5,000lbs towing capacity, so it's likely that companies have not made suspension enhancements for it due to its lower tow rating compared to more popular towing vehicles like an F-150.

What are you planning on towing with your Ridgeline?

So, I don't own a Honda Ridgelibe yet, I plan to buy one when they update to a hybtod model, potentially 2028. So, I'm just planning ahead. I do have a 2018 Toyota Sienna with an Air Lift 1000 kit and it works great. I thought it was a universal kit. And the Sienna has indepent suspension in the rear similar to the current Ridgeline. Maybe I have to expand my search, thanks for your help.

@TroyV As long as there is space inside the coil the Air Lift 1000s can be installed in most vehicles with a coil suspension. I did do some further research, and the shock absorbers are mounted directly inside the Honda Ridgeline's coil springs, which takes up the space where the Air Lift 1000 would install. Unless they change this on future models, you may need to consider other options like a weight distribution hitch.

Ahhhh, thanks Claire! I was wondering if that might be the case. Thanks for figuring that out. I can tell you the Air Lift 1000 kit with compressor is still working well in my toyota sienna after 180k miles. I'll look for other options in the future, thanks again for your time and assistance!
