Will the Lend-a-Hand Extra Large Folding Grab Handle Fit a Cougar 22MLS?

Welcome to etrailer, I'm glad you found us!

Most likely, the Lend-a-Hand Extra Large Folding Grab Handle # AM-533 will work on your Cougar 22MLS. I just can't say for certain based on the RV model alone since I don't have the construction details or wall layout for every camper.

The easiest way to verify the fit is to measure the mounting area next to your entry door. The mounting brackets on the # AM-533 are spaced 19-1/4 inches apart, measured from center to center, so you'll need at least that much flat mounting space. You'll also want to make sure there's solid backing or framing behind both mounting locations so the handle can safely support you when getting in and out of your camper. I attached an image so you can see what general area you want to check.

If you can take that measurement or send me a photo of the area next to your entry door, I'd be happy to help you make sure it's a good fit before you order.

The handle is exactly what I wanted. My wife thinks it should be a little longer. I don't think it should go all the way down to the end step. It bolts right where the original handle was so no new holes to worry about. Good choice I think.

We installed ours earlier this month and we love it! My wife has weak knees, and it's perfect for her to pull herself up the steps into our Wolf Pup camper. Extremely easy replacement in the same screw holes as the previous handle. Five stars!

When the foam section of the original handle was tearing off, I showed XL Grab Handle option to my wife and she agreed it would be better for our trailer. She loves the ease of having something to grab from the lower step of our travel trailer. Big improvement.
