Does The Progressive Dynamics 4500 Series RV Converter PD4560K18LS8 Come With Breakers

Updated 06/30/2026 | Published 06/24/2026

Question:

Hello, I recently purchased the PD4560K18LS8 to replace my defective WFCO 9960 converter. I have a couple of questions: Would it have been possible to order just the converter without the full panel assembly that requires additional wiring? Are breakers included with this unit, or do they need to be purchased separately? If separate, do you sell compatible breakers, and could you please provide the corresponding part numbers? Thank you for your assistance.

Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out. We don't offer just a converter section replacement for the WFCO 9960, so replacing the whole power center with the # PD4560K18LS8 was the right call.

For that unit, the breakers are sold separately, but unfortunately, we don't carry the breakers here. You'll have to pick those up locally. You can use standard residential-style AC circuit breakers.

What RV is the converter going in?

My older panel experienced a major issue after my truck /trailer wiring cord got pinched and shorted out, catching the cord on fire from the 2 12 volt batteries in line so I had very few options. The new unit was so much easier to understand and rewire. I was able to reuse my existing breakers and I liked the ease of installing the existing wires. You could have a trailer shop do the work if you felt uncomfortable but I just moved one wire over at a time then slid the new unit in place.

@Jon Awesome! Glad to hear the new converter is working out and that the install didn't give you too much trouble. Thanks for the tip!
