Question:
Hello. I need an over-the-cab rack for my 2024 Tacoma pickup truck. I checked with Co-Pilot and it said that the Erickson Model EM07707 was the best option. It sounds good, but when I went to your website, it noted that this model was not suitable for my Tacoma. Just checking to be sure, since I didnt see any other over-the-cab models on your site that fit a Tacoma?

Henry, you're right to double-check. The Erickson EM07707 is no longer listed as a fit for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma. It fit earlier Tacoma models, but with the changes made to the 2024 redesign, it is no longer a compatible option.
Instead, I recommend the Malone TradeSport/OverPass Bundle part # MAL73HR. It offers the same over-the-cab support you're looking for, but with several nice upgrades. It uses a no-drill, clamp-on installation, so you won't have to modify your new truck. The aluminum construction is another big advantage because it's lightweight, corrosion resistant, and won't rust the way that the Erickson is known to over time. It also carries up to 800 pounds when the load is evenly distributed, features adjustable towers to fit your truck, and includes T-slot crossbars for mounting accessories like watersport carriers which I think is really cool. On top of that, it comes with a limited lifetime warranty compared to the Erickson's 90-day warranty.
I know it's disappointing when a product that worked on previous model years no longer fits after a redesign, but I think the Malone is actually the better rack overall and one I'd choose for a 2024 Tacoma.
What do you plan on carrying over the cab most often, ladders, lumber, kayaks, or work materials?
