Can You Use Curt 2 to 3 Adapter to Get Dedicated Stoplight Circuit

Updated 06/23/2026 | Published 06/19/2026

Question:

Okay so my application is going to be a bit different than what you guys normally would see .Maybe. I have a 1963 LeSabre , i want to add a flashing brake light kit Vleds Universal Kit. My cars taillight wiring is what’s throwing me off , it share the same circuit as the turn signals and brake lights. One Filament Led Bulbs on both sides. I’ve seen you guys make modules to separate these circuits! Hope you guys can help ! Thankyou ! Was told to contact you guys from a trailer buddy at my job site so i thought why not it wouldn’t hurt . I’ve also uploaded how my taillight wiring diagram is and as well as the Instructions giving on how to wire this in. I tried the way they instructed me to but it did not work .

Hey Anthony, we don't have any flashing bulbs for a stoplight circuits but it sounds like you have one and need a way to get a dedicated stoplight circuit with the part # C56196. You can use this for that. You'd wire the green wire to the right turn stop circuit, the yellow to the left and then ground the white and on the opposite side of the box the red wire would have the circuit you need.

So i dont have a flashing led bulb as well. Let me elaborate a bit. My original lights were regular bulbs , but i want to install this flashing brake light module kit , in order to do that i had to convert the taillights to LED, upon doing that i HAD to go LED lights all around and I installed a new Flasher to prevent hyper flash , so that’s set . So these are One filament LEDS. Like stated above , when installing the module kit i have it malfunctions due to the brake light and turn signal sharing the same circuit. Would this part you recommend still be the best fit for this ? If so im highly interested in purchasing ASAP.

@AnthonyH It actually won't work using LEDs as the signal circuits and we don't have anything that would. I should have caught that earlier. We don't have anything like this that is LED compatible.
