Hey Lane! Yes, we have Roadmaster D-ring adapters that allow you to connect a Roadmaster motorhome-mounted tow bar directly to certain aftermarket bumpers without installing a separate base plate kit.
For your 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport with the Smittybilt XRC Gen2 bumper, I recommend checking the thickness and shape of the bumper's D-ring mounting tabs to determine which adapter you need:
Roadmaster # RM-035 – Fits standard 3/4" thick D-ring mounting tabs.
Roadmaster # RM65FR – Fits extended 1" thick D-ring mounting tabs found on certain Smittybilt Gen2 bumpers.
You'll also want to confirm Smittybilt approves your specific bumper for flat towing.
If you need a complete flat towing setup, here's what I recommend:
Tow Bar: Roadmaster Nighthawk # RM-676 – 8,000-lb capacity with included safety cables.
Wiring: Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit # RM-15267 – Operates your Jeep's tail lights through the motorhome.
Braking System: Roadmaster InvisiBrake # RM-8700 – Works with motorhomes equipped with hydraulic or air brakes.
Brake Light Relay: Roadmaster # RM-88400 – Prevents brake light interference when needed.
Depending on the height difference between your motorhome's receiver and the Jeep's bumper connections, you may also need a high-low adapter.
Can you confirm whether your bumper has 3/4" or extended 1" thick D-ring tabs? Also, do you already have a Roadmaster tow bar, or are you putting together a complete setup?

Thanks, I do not want to tow from the D-ring. I've already tried that, and on the XRC with the Extended D-ring, the clevis required to clear it is unacceptable, introducing too much play in the connection. I am trying to find a sturdy baseplate mount that will connect to the Jeep frame with the XRC bumper installed. If not possible, I will be changing the bumper to a Rockhard brand bumper that is compatible with a Roadmaster style connector. Thanks, Lane
