E-Bike Rack and Hitch Recommendation for 2022 Volkswagen GTI

Question:
Could you provide your advice for a 2 e-bike hitch rack that will work well with a 2022 VW GTI? Need something that holds a Aventon Pace 3 and Aventon Level 4. Without battery’s, bikes weigh about 50 and 60 lbs respectively. They both have fenders. I will be installing either a EcoHitch EH75SR or the EH59CR. Fell free to weigh in on the more appropriate hitch. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey John, for lighter duty vehicles the E-bike rack I would recommend is the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202. This is a very easy to install and load/unload e-bike rack that has more than enough capacity for the bikes you mentioned and has a ramp that pulls out that makes it easier as well.
Then for a hitch I real like the EcoHitch part # EH59CR for your 2022 Volkswagen GTI as it installs behind the license plate which I think is a really clever way to hide it while not making it overly difficult to access.

The Thule Easy Fold XT Bike Rack has worked well hauling two Aventon Pace 500.3 bikes with my 2019 Toyota RAV4 and my 2026 Toyota RAV4.
