Updated 06/18/2026 | Published 06/10/2026

Question:

Was wondering if you could recommend a hitch, we have a 2015 keystone outback 295 fifth wheel, we are wanting to put a hitch at the rear of the trailer to tow a boat. Thanks

Hey Pam, the best hitch solution we would have for the rear of your 2015 Keystone Outback 295 would be a multi-fit hitch like the Curt # C13702 which is designed to fit standard RV frame widths that are between 18 and 51 inches and has a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs. There isn't a custom fit hitch for RVs like what you have so this would be best way to go. What kind of boat do you have?

Our frame is 64 inches wide, the hitch you have recommended it to short. Our boat is just a 16ft older boat weights maybe 1000-1200 pounds.

@Pam In that case the Curt # 13703 would be what I would go with as it has a wider range of frame widths it can fit and has more than enough capacity at 3,500 lb.
