Question:

Good morning! I understand that there are no compatible roof rack systems for my 2017 Dodge grand Caravan GT. I think I also understand that some of the universal mount systems will work, although they will need to install over the rubber seals in the door jam. Do you or anyone on your team have a sense of what solutions are better than others for this model of vehicle? Id like to keep my overall cost below $300. THANK YOU!

Hey Erik, thanks for reaching out. You are right about there being no custom fit roof racks for a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. This is mainly because the sliding doors make it difficult to use the door jamb clips like most custom racks use.

That said, we do have a universal roof rack option that you can use. I recommend one of the following:

These are universal racks that attach to the bare roof using vacuum cups. They are super easy to install so this is a great way to add crossbars to a vehicle with no custom options available. I know its not exactly within your budget but this is really the only way to add crossbars to your van without any modification or drilling into the roof.
