Hi Connie, great question!

Yes, if you have a Curt A20 5th wheel hitch, the correct replacement is the Replacement Handle for Curt A16, A20, A24, and A30 5th Wheel Hitches, part # C58UR. This is the handle assembly that operates the locking mechanism and allows you to properly engage and release the hitch jaws when coupling and uncoupling your trailer.

One thing I am curious about is how the handle became bent. If it was damaged during a difficult hitching or unhitching situation, it may be worth taking a close look at the rest of the locking mechanism as well. I'd want to make sure none of the internal linkage, pivot points, or locking components were bent or damaged at the same time. Replacing the handle should get you back in business if the rest of the hitch is in good shape, but it's always a good idea to inspect everything while you have it apart.

I also linked an installation video that walks through the replacement process step by step. The job is very doable, but I do want to mention that the handle and jaw mechanism are under spring tension. That spring can make the installation a little tricky, and you'll want to keep your fingers clear while removing and reinstalling the handle. Taking your time during that step is definitely worthwhile.

What do you usually tow with your A20, and where do you do most of your hitching and unhitching?
