Distance From Hitch Pin To Back Of EcoHitch Stealth Receiver

Question:
Hi, I am looking at the ecohitch receiver for a 2025 VW GTI - part number EH75SR and Im trying to get some measurements from it. Specifically, what is the length from the receiver pin hole to the back of the receiver? It looks like it goes very close to the plastic on the bumper at the back and just trying to work out if there is enough space in the hitch behind the pin hole. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Max

Hey Max! The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole straight to the back on the # EH75SR receiver is approximately 3". Since it sits at that angle to accommodate the plastic behind it on the vehicle anything beyond 2-1/2" is going to hit.
You can measure the shank on any accessories like a bike rack to see if that will work. You could probably force/flex the plastic back with pressure if it is slightly off but I can't say for sure.
What will you be using the hitch for?

VW installations typically require some trimming of the fascia. On my ‘24 GTi it was no big deal.

Thank you so much! It would be for a bike rack but the one I was looking at needs a little over 3” from the pin unfortunately. Really appreciate you getting the info!
