Hey Ralph, welcome back! The Gen-Y pin boxes are nice and will work well with your Curt PowerRide # C36WR. Nothing particularly special here beyond what you've been doing with your 5th wheel towing. Are your wear plates in good shape? If they're worn down now would be a good time to replace them with # C52WR.

Are you still getting a Momentum or is this something else?

Hey Robin, it's used; so if it passes my DIY frame flex test (more of peace of mind but if off then no go) we'll be getting the Momentum. I purchased extra set of wear plates to carry with just in case. Didn't know if a particular lube would benefit and don't want to use a chemical that might degrade the wear plate itself. Will inspect pin plate for damage that might cut into them. Thanks for response.

@RalphH you're welcome, happy to help! Sounds like you're all set if that test pans out.

I pull a Gen’y with mine and it’s no issues at all. I don’t use any lube I just pull. This is my 3rd camper with this Curt hitch 2nd camper with Gen-y and I’ve had no issues, never used any lube and I’m on second set of wear pads. I’ve got about 30k miles on the hitch.

I pull a 42' Cedar Creek, and after a year and a half, the wear plates show minimal wear. I would suggest that Curt find a new place (and maybe they have) for the lever pin. Before the season begins, I spray the inner workings with a light lubricant. I also grease it about every other trip. I'm glad that I went with the 30K even though my fifth wheel is only about 16k.
