Question:
I have a trailer coupler with the low-profile latch style instead of the taller flip-up latch I’m used to. The hole for the safety pin is 1/4 inch, but I’m not sure if these snapper pins care what style coupler latch it is.

Hi Natalie! The latch style itself is not usually the deciding factor with these RV Designer safety lock pins. What matters most is the size of the safety pin hole and how wide the coupler latch area is where the pin needs to pass through.
If your coupler uses a 1/4" safety pin hole, then both the RV Designer Safety Lock Pin # RD72GR and # RD22GR are in the right diameter. The # RD72GR gives you a 2-1/2" usable length, which works well for many standard coupler latch setups. The # RD22GR gives you a longer 3-1/2" usable length if that low-profile latch or coupler body needs a wider span. Normally I just say to go with the bigger one which fits like 99% of them out there. Going a bit too long isn't going to hurt anything.
What kind of trailer is this?
