Will this baseplate for a 2025 gmc canyon at4? And can I do it myself?

Hey, Gene.

That’s a good question, and I can see why you’d want to be sure before installing it.

The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM56NQ will fit your 2025 GMC Canyon AT4X AEV Edition, so you’re good there.

As far as the install goes, it’s definitely something you can do yourself if you’re comfortable working with tools. You’ll need to remove some of the front fascia, take off a bit of factory hardware, and then bolt everything into place. The nice part is there’s no drilling into the frame, which keeps it a bit more straightforward.

It’s not a super quick install, but if you’ve done similar work before or don’t mind taking your time, it’s very doable.

Have you flat towed before or is this your first venture into it?

My model is just an at4, not the at4x

@GeneJ Ah, my apologies. The baseplate you asked about is only for the AT4X AEV Edition. If you don't have that model then you would need to get baseplate # RM48GR.
