Hi Bob, you have quite the setup there!

For your 2004 F450 cab and chassis, the right Timbren option to help with rear sag and stability is the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System is part # TFRSD, and yes this is a great match for what you’re dealing with. With a 4000 plus pound Arctic Fox on the back, the rear is doing most of the work, so adding the rear Timbrens first is exactly what I would recommend to level things out and take that side to side sway and “floating” feeling out of the truck.

For the front, you can add the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System part # TFFSD4B if you’re still noticing the steering feeling a bit light. Not everyone needs the front right away, but on heavier setups like yours it can really help keep the truck feeling more predictable, especially on longer drives or in crosswinds.

Since your truck started as a cab and chassis and now has a flatbed, I do just want to mention that these are designed to fit factory mounting points, so as long as nothing has been modified around the bump stop area you should be in good shape. I did confirm with Timbren that the flatbed wouldn't make a difference to the install.

This is a really solid, low maintenance way to get that more controlled and confident feel you’re after without getting into air systems, and most people notice a big improvement right away once the rear kit is installed as long as nothing has been modified.

@HeatherA Hello, I’m currently installing Timbren FRSD bump stops on my 2004 Ford F-450 Diesel Dually (Cab & Chassis). My truck has the Dana Spicer S130 rear axle and a heavy-duty 9-leaf spring + helper spring suspension setup. I’m concerned about the driver-side rear brake line distribution block—it sits extremely close to where the Timbren will travel. The Issue: The distribution block (mounted via the axle vent) and the hard lines branching from it appear to be directly in the path of the new Timbren Aeon spring. With the thick 9-leaf stack, there’s very little room for error during suspension compression. Questions for the experts: Has anyone else with an S130 axle encountered this interference when adding Timbrens or larger bump stops? Is it safe to rotate the distribution block slightly on the axle vent to gain clearance? Should I hand-bend the hard lines horizontally away from the Timbren’s vertical path, or is there a relocation bracket commonly used for this chassis? Any advice from those familiar with the S130 Cab & Chassis layout would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The Timbren FRSD kit has major fitment issues on my F-450: the provided hardware was mismatched/defective, and there is a lack of clearance around the sway bar bracket and brake lines.
