Will this water heater directly replace a Dometic GCH6A-10ES with no modifications? Also, could the door be re-used?

Hey Tori! Yes, the Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC33RR will directly replace your GCH6A-10ES without modification. This water heater is slightly smaller at 12-3/4" tall x 12-3/4" wide x 19-7/8" deep so it will fit the existing cutout without any issues.

As for the door, you won’t be reusing the old one. This unit comes with a new door and a conversion kit that’s made to fit the 16-1/2" wide opening from your current setup, so everything will line up clean and look right once it’s installed.
