Question:

I have a 2001 Keystone Laredo that needs hydraulic cylinder replaced, the overall tube length is 41-3/8inch and 39inch center to center of the ports, the cylinder tube OD measures 2-1/4inch the slide shaft measures 3/4inch the length of the rod retracted is 18-1/2 and has 7inch of thread. Is there a replacement for this cylinder or shall i have it rebuilt?

Hello Robert, thanks for reaching out. Based on the measurements and age of your setup, there isn’t a direct replacement cylinder that we can match up to what you’ve got. That’s pretty common on early 2000s units, a lot of those cylinders were specific to the system and aren’t in production anymore.

Your best next step would be to reach out to Lippert with the details you’ve got to see if they can identify a modern replacement or cross-reference something compatible. If they come up empty, then having your current cylinder rebuilt is usually the most straightforward and reliable option. A good hydraulic shop can reseal it and make sure everything is moving smoothly again without risking fitment issues from trying to adapt a different cylinder.
