Hey, Jack. Thanks for reaching out.

We do have a great replacement option for your Atwood unit. The GE Profile RV Water Heater is a 10-gallon model like your current one and is available as part # GE97RR, white door, or # GE24RR, black door.

That said, you’ll want to double-check your available space, as the GE unit has slightly different dimensions. The heater itself measures 12-5/8" tall x 12-5/8" wide x 26-1/8" deep, and it requires a cutout of 12-3/4" tall x 12-3/4" wide x 26-1/4" deep.

As for the control wiring, I just want to clarify what you’re referring to. You will be able to use your existing power wiring, but the unit does come with a new control switch that will need to be installed and wired in.

What kind of trips do you have planned for the season so far?

Thank you. I went with the Dometic. It was a direct replacement for the Atwood.
