Hey Patrick, you’re on the right track here and this is a pretty common switch when moving from a Softail to a Touring bike, so no worries.

B&W does offer just the replacement bar for the Touring, part # BWMC2301B so you don’t have to buy the whole setup again. This replacement bar is designed specifically for Harley Touring models. It’s built to fit the larger frame tubing and wider spacing on Touring bikes, so it’ll clamp properly and hold the bike securely without risking movement or damage.

As long as you already have the B&W Biker Bar base from part # BWMC2301 installed in your trailer, this Touring bar will swap right in and work with your existing setup. That makes the changeover pretty straightforward and keeps everything secure just like your current system.

Which Harley Touring model are you riding now?

Love mine. Only thing I see that I wish was different is that can’t put bar on until in trailer due to hitting when crossing from door to trailer.

@Tommy That’s a great callout, Tommy, and I know exactly what you mean. That transition point into the trailer can get tight, especially with a Touring bike and the extra width from the bar. Appreciate you sharing that, it’s really helpful for others to know what to expect depending on their trailer setup.

@Tommy I ran into the same problem on my toy hauler. I look at it as a minor inconvenience but I don't need to use tie down straps.

Please don’t Miss understand, I do love the product and would never go back to straps. My trailer is not a toy hauler so it gets hot is the worst part about having to put on in trailer.

@Tommy no worries at all, I didn’t take it that way! Do you have a roof top vent or fan? I wonder if that would help get the air flowing when you are loading and unloading depending on your trailer.
