Question:
Can I remove the tongue for storage? Can I replace the bolts that attach it with pins? Will I have to do something different with the wiring?

Hey Russell! Yes, you can remove the tongue of the Malone EcoLight Sport # MAL63FR to store it. There is a disconnect on the wiring harness if you're removing the entire trailer tongue. If you just want to pull off the front part of the tongue at the joining plates you can add # TS48RR for a quick disconnect inside the tongue.
If the pins are secure and properly rated I'm sure that would work. However, it probably voids the warranty so I would just stick with the bolts. If you're storing this frequently you might want to add a hinge kit so you can just fold the tongue over for storage. We no longer carry any for a 3" x 2" tongue so that is something you would have to pick up elsewhere.
What will you be carrying on the EcoLight Sport?
