Thank you for the great question. You’re right to double-check this before ordering, the Westin HDX Headache Rack part # 57-8025 is not compatible with the Westin Brute 71" Standard Crossover Toolbox part # W33YH on a 2026 GMC Sierra. Because the Brute 71 is a crossover-style toolbox that sits across the top of the bed rails, it covers the stake pocket and frame mounting locations that the HDX headache rack requires. As a result, the rack cannot be installed properly with that toolbox in place.

One solution would be to use a toolbox that fits between the frame rails of the truck instead of over them. A utility chest style toolbox like the DeeZee Red Label Truck Bed Tool Box part # DZ8556, sits down inside the bed and keeps the bed rail area clear. That allows you to install the HDX headache rack without interference while still maintaining secure storage.
