Question:
We would like some information on replacing parts and upgrading the suspension on a 2020 keystone passport 239ml trailer. We like to camp offroad and need ground clearance to make this work. Would you please send me some info on lifting the trailer approximately 4 and adding shocks, your equalizer kit, and other components that you would recommend?

Hey Cliff. Your 2020 Keystone Passport 239ML trailer has tandem 3,500 lbs axles. If your axles are mounted above your leaf springs, you can install the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit item # K71-384-00. This is what's referred to as an axle flip kit. It takes your axle from being mounted above your springs and moves it below them. You'll gain the 2-3/8" diameter of your axle in height along with the thickness of your leaf spring pack.
For shocks, I recommend the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for Tandem Axle Trailers item # RM-2450. These are heavy-duty nitrogen filled shock absorbers that prevent a trailer from bouncing on rough roads.
Please note that if you go with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers item # RM-2450 and the Dexter item # K71-384-00 you'll want to use the u-bolt plates included with the shock kit.
There's no database that shows me what specific parts came on your trailer so I can't recommend an equalizer without knowing your existing ones dimensions. I attached a picture below that will show you what measurements I need to recommend a replacement. If you could leave these below where it says Add Comment, I'll be happy to recommend an upgraded set.
Additionally, if you could measure the space between the center of the mounting bolts on one of your shackle straps, I could recommend a replacement wet bolt kit.

I did the "axle flip" on my flat bed trailer. Gained 3-4 inches of ground clearance and did the work by myself. Was easy enough and the parts all fit nicely.
