Does Gate King Adjustable Truck Bed Extender Have Weight Capacity

Question:
I am curious about Part Number: GK44FR. Do you have any specs or maximum weight this can handle? I have a 2018 Chevy Colorado and I have a snowmobile in the only 5 foot bed of the truck. Almost half of the snowmobile is resting on the tailgate which is a lot of weight. I’m trying to reinforce the tailgate so it doesn’t break off the factory cables. It would be even better if I could use this product to have the tailgate 1 click up from fully open, cause then the snowmobile wouldn’t hang down. I’d be happy to send a photo if you’d like to better understand. Anyways, any suggestions or if there’s any other products that you may recommend I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Hey Ryan, so I checked with Gate King and the part # GK44FR does not have a stated weight capacity but they do list it as having at least the same capacity as the tailgate cables it would replace. Using it partially engaged with the weight of a snowmobile on it would probably be to much for it though so I would not recommend that. With it totally straight I don't think it would be an issue at all.
