I normally lift 5-gallon diesel cans up into my tractor. I just got a new 55-gallon drum in the shop and just want something that moves fuel fairly quickly. What should I be looking at? heard you're the place to ask. thank you.

Hi Harold, with a 55-gallon drum in the shop, you’ve got a few good options depending on whether you have power available.
If you want to keep it simple and fully manual, the Fill-Rite Manual Piston Pump Kit # FR53XQ is a solid choice. It’s hand-operated with a double piston design and moves 20 gallons per 100 strokes, so it transfers fuel faster per cycle than a rotary-style manual pump. It mounts to a standard 2" bung, includes an 8' hose with static ground wire, and the suction tube adjusts from 20" to 34-1/2" to reach the bottom of a 55-gallon drum.
Now, if you have power in the shop and want to make fueling much easier, an electric pump is worth considering:
# FR35XQ (12V, 20 GPM kit) – Great if you’d rather run it off a 12V battery system.
# FR75XQ (115V, 15 GPM) – Wires into standard household power.
# FR43XQ (115V/230V, 35 GPM) – Higher flow rate if you’re fueling larger equipment regularly.
Those electric models eliminate the manual effort and significantly increase flow rate compared to hand pumps.

Andrew, thank you for the suggestions. I will consider these. I do have power but manual would be easier so I can move it around to other building or place on flat bed truck. thanks
