Could Reset of Replacement Touchpad Control Panel LC77CJ Fix Issues with It

Updated 02/26/2026 | Published 02/23/2026

Question:

About three and half years ago, I replaced the original Kwikee Level Best 2000 with part LC77CJ exact replacement on my 2005 Winnebago Sightseer 29R. All worked well until the other day... Partial control panel lights Ignition and All Up light up - EXCEPT the On/Off button. Park Brake light doesnt come on with brake on or off, but not sure if that is connected to On/Off button or other failure. No flashing lights on panel. Ignition was on, parking brake was on. Batteries were replaced since previous successful operation of jacks. Had to do the bypass to retract all jacks. All jacks retracted as expected. Checked all connections, everything seems good. Power to solenoid, battery, control panel, and 3? AMP fuse inside control panel box is good. Do I really need another control panel already? This one is isnt even 4 years old and lives an easy life not much activity, mostly sits.

Hey Julie, hopefully not but it is possible you need to replace your # LC77CJ. I would try unplugging it for 60 seconds though to see if a hard reset gets it to work like it should and go from there. Try that and let me know.

Thanks for the reply, Jameson. Unfortunately, this doesn't solve the issue. During the aforementioned testing, it was unplugged twice, both times for several minutes. No changes to lights or the On/Off button. Lippert suggested checking the "green" ground wire to the control panel. There is no green wire to the panel. Since the panel Has power to light up some of the lights, the ground must be good, right? Batteries and connections are all good, grounded. Any other ideas?

@JulieM Is the battery of the RV in good shape? Sometimes a partially dead or failing battery can cause weird issues since the voltage will be too low etc. Probably a longshot though.
