Hey Llyod,

The EcoHitch # 306-X7352 for your 2022 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 does in-fact have the 7,500lb line pull rating you're looking for. I have sent updates to the page to get the 5,000lb figure removed.

I purchased and had the receiver installed on the front of my class B+ sprinter. I have a rear side coming out of the back of my RV. So, I can’t mount my rack and e-bikes on the rear as it would prevent me from putting the rear side out. Having the rack and bikes on the front keeps me from having to do the above. There was an issue though, with this configuration. In inclement weather, using the bike cover reduced the air flow restricting power output of the engine when climbing steep grades. It didn’t really appear to cause an issue other than slowing down when climbing, like semi’s. Remove the bike cover and no problem. So, if that is a concern, travel on clear days or avoid this configuration. It was a small sacrifice, which allowed us to carry our e-bikes. I know why not put the rack on my toad. Well our toad vehicle is a Geo tracked with a smaller 1 1/4” receiver, which needing an extension. This caused unnecessary strain on the tracker frame.

@TimL Thanks for the feedback! Sounds like you're getting some good use out of your front hitch!
