Hey Nick, when the Adjustable Ball Mount # TK5007 is in the rise position like you asked about the capacity of the ball mount is not reduced. You'd still retain the full 5,000 lb weight capacity of the ball mount. What are you towing?

I bought this product in conjunction with a hitch receiver that I installed on the front of my 3500 Chevy pick up. I set this up to maneuver my 11,000 pound 36 foot travel trailer into position on a pad that is next to a deck. I only use this product when maneuvering the trailer using the hitch receiver on the front of my pick up. it all works perfectly.

I actually have the 10,000 pound version of this set up. I tow a 6000lb boat and an 8000 pound cargo trailer (loaded). I sold my truck with a 6" lift and now have a stock height truck which is why I need to invert this thing as shown. Just wanted to make sure the geometry didn't change the rating.
