Hi Heather - that’s actually something a lot of pet owners bring up.

Bare aluminum steps can heat up quickly in direct sun and the smooth outer edges can feel slick when wet - especially for dogs.
The PopStep covers add a textured PVC surface over the metal tread, which creates a buffer between paws and the aluminum itself. No tools are needed for install which is also a huge plus.

Now the important part is matching width.
If your 2-step SolidSteps measure:
• 24 inch wide = you’d want # PS27UR
• 20 inch wide = you’d want # PS99UR

Both versions are designed specifically for Lippert SolidSteps and snap over the tread without hardware.
Also, those are the two most common widths, but if your steps are some odd ball size that I'm not thinking of, just let me know and I'll find the right fit! :)
