Replacement Equalizers for Dexter 13-10 Equalizers that Won't Change the Ride Height

Updated 02/14/2026 | Published 02/10/2026

Question:

Im looking to upgrade suspension on my 2022 Arctic Fox 22G travel trailer. The existing equalizer is a solid Dexter 13-10. New shackles and wet bolts of course. But which equalizer is appropriate so that ride height doesnt change.

Hey Ed, welcome back! Your Dexter 13-10 equalizers are 4" tall and measure 6" between the outer shackle bolt holes. The closest size equalizer we have is the MORryde ALLTREK 4000 item # MR89DR, which is 4-1/2" tall and measures 6-1/2" between the outer shackle bolt holes. The 1/2" difference will add at most an 1/8-"-1/4" in ride height so nothing noticeable.

The MORryde ALLTREK 4000 item # MR89DR has both vertical and horizontal cushioning which will really help absorb bumps on rough roads. It uses a rubber insert that compresses so the road shock doesn't transfer up to your frame. This really helps if you're having issues bouncing stuff inside your trailer or spilling things out of cabinets.

As far as the shackles and wet bolts go, I recommend one of the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kits. These kits come with wet bolts, bronze bushings, and 1/2" thick shackles. If your current shackles are 2-1/4" center hole to center hole you'll need item # MR46ZR and for 3-1/8" item # MR76ZR.

Have you thought about replacing your leaf springs since you're going to be disassembling your entire suspension? The wet bolts are only designed to be torqued down once so if swapping the equalizers out doesn't smooth out your ride comfort you'll have to replace them again when you do the leaf springs.
