Hey Alex, the diameter of the pin that holds the shackle loop of the Curt Tow Strap part # C45831 that you referenced is 3/4 inch in diameter. Are you thinking about swapping out the shackle for something different?

i have two reciever hitches on my truck. I want to hook a flat tow bar to it. Was hoping to use Blue OX's adapters, but think they are 7/8 or 1inch. Ill have to find another sturdy shackle mount.

@Alex Is your tow bar designed for a 2 inch hitch and that's why you want to use this for that purpose? It really was not designed for that so maybe there's a better solution.

@JamesonC I actually have two in the front on the bumper of the truck to be towed by the RV. I cannot see any manufacturer that makes an adapter plate for this. Most make adapters to go from shackle mounts that are welded directly on a bumper so im trying to go from shackle adapter back down to 2in receiver hitch.
